I felt bad for poor Ronnie Drum
who took much heat for favoring
this spectacular act in ring 2
(Yes Johnny I know "Center Ring")
I thought that this presentation
was almost too hot to handle &
NO ONE could have guessed that
these were mother & son unless
they had prior knowledge
I wasn't referring to Odin
No studio still-man, and no filmland glamour queen ever photographed, in black-and-white or color, has to my eyes matched the compelling elements contained in this singular image. My quest is now to have this print for framing for my home.
I think I saw a 1 sheet size of
this image handsomely framed in
a high line gallery in Pomona
(only kidding Roger)

the poor patient lady supporting
this great image (& many others)
She was my favorite unsung hero
That looks like Nirvanna, not Odin.
That is "Nirvana". "Odin" worked in the end ring riding on top of the bulls rolling the barrel and doing one foot stand, and leaping from pedestal to pedestal, & elephant to elephant. And 'Lady Anna May" is supporting us as usual. While the other end ring of two Cheetahs, & a horse performed......Barbara......

Wasn't it Karen Glenn working the
ring 1 display & (the folks) with
the Cheetah Chariot race in 3
(Not often am I this careful)
The two leopards get reversed a lot sometimes..Nirvana was with Barbara and Benny.. and Odin with Karen and Chico..and Jeannette Williams had the cheetahs and chariot..:)
Yes Gary I'm fully aware of who
"the folks" were in ring 3 but
for a change I was being kind
They had 2 of the prettiest but
dumbest cats I've ever seen
Leopards could substitute for the
twin girls in some illusion acts
Most of us can't tell them apart
I thought so Chic. Just helpin..:)
Nirvana had a very short tail, I don't remember the story about how it got so short.?.and Odin being a male was so much larger but not seeing the two side by side I understand..
On RBB&B (not to put Karen down) But Buckles actually worked the leopard act. Karen fronted the act (and did a fine job.) Chico backed the act. Later on Big Apple Circus Chico worked Odin & Toto with Dalilah & I. And did a fine job. I was teaching Dalilah to perform with the leopards. And I am very proud of the job she did. We would work Odin & Toto, rolling the barrel & leap from pedestal to pedestal & one foot stand, and then go into Dalilah & Toto's Act......Barbara......
