You are right on the black and white IF they are done right. The slide above is 1941 35mm Kodachrome. Nothing beats a beautiful blue sky like Kodachrome and you got to admit pretty darn good color for way back then. And I bet the film speed back then was maybe 10. The black and white shot I will bet was taken with a 4 by 5 or a 5 by 7 graphic. A big difference in film size plus a good photographer to that knows what he is doing. But black and white done right will last forever and Kodachrome has been around since 1935 and it will not fade. Harry

Sometimes good old black and white can be more dramatic than living full-color. This shot is one of those black and whites that proves that. --- ToddP
