DICK KOHLREISER: Wins it hands down for "The David P. Orr Award of Hat Excellence." It appears that Dick represented BUCKLES to the highest of excellence.

This picture of JRNII in a carriage reminds me of a story of his great Uncle Al. Years ago I recorded the recollections of Adele Nelson, wife of elephant man Louis Reed and presenter of his elephants around the 1930s but also one of the many children in the Nelson family acrobatic act in the 1890s. The Nelsons were on the Ringling show in the mid-1890s when Adele was quite young, not even a teenager. She delightfully recalled that on the days when it was a long walk from the train to the lot, Mr. Al would gather all the youngest kids in his buggy and drive them to the lot. Having met JRNII and heard more about him, I have sensed that he has inherited such kindly traits in the Ringling blood line.
